E-Learning Days
This year the district is implementing E-learning days to recoup the time lost to snow-days or other incidents. When a school day is lost to weather/power outage/plague/earthquake/volcano/gas-leak/zombie apocalypse...
Hey everyone! Sorry that school is closed. It really stinks to not get together, but we don't have to stop enjoying music or learning. I am attaching several resources for each grade level.

Band E-Learning
March 25, 2020: Hello friends, This week I want you to all focus on intervals. They are the distance between two notes. In band, we use this for all parts of our scales and pieces. This is a key element of music that everyone could use some practice with.
There are a few parts to this assignment to help you all understand this concept.
Part 1: Watch this YouTube link https://youtu.be/YzmKLmwXFA8
Part 2: Take this quick quiz https://www.musictheory.net/exercises/generic-interval/bgty9y9dnyxdyy
Part 3: After the quiz is over, click "VIEW REPORT"
Part 4: Type your first and last name into the box next to "SIGN REPORT" and then click the button that says "SIGN REPORT"
Part 5: Lastly, click on "COPY LINK" and email it back to me [email protected]
(Optional) Let me know what you've been practicing or working on over the "break" and if you need anything at all from me. I can always find you music to practice if you like. Also, please clean your instruments like I said in the bingo page.
I will try to work on some virtual rehearsals through a Google Meet chatroom so we can have class later. Try to have this assessment sent to me by the end of the week so I can see how many of you check emails from me. Thank you! -Mr. Knicl
March 16, 2020: Band students should fill out the BINGO page (aka BANDO) on the this web page with suggested practice materials. Older students know what to work on for the concert and younger students need to keep going in the book where we left off. Everybody can use the BINGO page as a guideline to start. Use this time to work on fundamentals like scales, articulations, rudiments, and range. If you feel like you learned everyone possible (yeah right...) then learn your minor scales. I bet you aren't confident on those yet!
If you left your instrument at home, there isn't a ton I can force you to do, but there are a number of links below that you could go to.
